The exhaust pipe hanger at the rear transmission mount was a snap. I used my old jack with a wide piece of wood to support the transmission under the pan, removed the hanger, then put the bolts back in the rear mount I drained the fluid than I struggled for about 4 hours to get the filler tube off. Used PB Blaster three times, 5 days prior to this. I got about one full turn and I gave up. I gave all I could give it and I couldn't give it no more. Fluid slowly dripped out down the tools and down my arms during much of that four hours. I'll have newspaper black elbows forever. After the afternoon rain I tightened it back up, and put exhaust pipe hanger back on. I cleaned off the old fluid around the filler pipe fitting with carb cleaner and added some fluid. I will check for a leak at the filler pipe tomorrow before the flush. (It is the upper connection at the rad and the fluid comes out of the rad side, right?) I will not know what may be barking in the bottom of that pan any time soon.
*The only way it could be done (on my car) is on a lift, six feet high, where or two or three-foot persuaders could be used for extra leverage.
