Matt, good point.

Yes, Patrick Bedard. He is a good writer--good enough to have his own column for as many years as I've read the automotive press.

But a columnist does not an expert make. I understand he's documented this and that source, but I never heard a single thing about the positive aspects, which implies that there are none. Yet there are millions of cars with it in their cooling systems. Cars that have no problems. The owners don't complain (which is probably why they never get heard). I'm almost to the point of amusement when it comes to coolant debates.

So amused that I'm going to watch Oprah, the diet expert. With all the eating experience she obviously has, she MUST be an expert.
