Bob in Houston- Again 200 1983

Do you listen to the Car counselor on 700?6am

I tried the BG44k w\shell 93(per Skeeter) and thats what started the whole mess- seems like an injector fouled. Listened with a screwdriver and the injectors sound OK. I cleaned the TB(varnished), took off and cleaned out the oil seperator\flametrap system.

The car starts and idles fine(I think-sounds smooth) when I get out on the highway it bucks and misses. ???? The tach jumps to 1000 when I turn the key to "on", when I start the engine, the tach stays at 750 most of the time.??????

Any ideas? The injectors were cleaned out by a shop when my parents owned the car (10 yr ago) even though my Haynes says they cant be cleaned. I took it to Poutous 1960 auto repair and they said they would basically throw parts at it until they found the problem. IPD has injectors for $80 each, maybe they are due for a change.

????????? Mark

Also someone posted on my 1st thread wanting to know the best Volvo mechanic in Houston. He is on Lake Conroe.
