1 or 2 pieces?

I dunno...I've seen 2 totally different gasket sets for the b230 engine. My parts guy insisted that I needed the 2 piece set, because the 2 piece set comes with a little half-moon rubber plug in it, and he said i needed it, so I had to bring him out to my car and show him that I needed a one-piece gasket, since mine didn't have that little half-moon thing. I've had 3 cars with the b230 engine, and none of them has needed that plug, but I have seen references to it in (I think) the haynes manual. You might want to check it out before you buy one. Also, you might want to try ordering from fcp groton, or at least checking out their website- they have pictures to go with most of their items. That way, you can be sure you're ordering the right one.
Color, though, won't matter. You should probably get some rtv and dab a bit into the corners around the cam shaft, at the bottom of the little humps. The gaskets don't tend to seal very well around there without it. Have fun!
