Stall out Problem 900

Knew I woudl be back here, did not think so soon.

My 94 940 just stalled, got it going again, but really want to know why it did the place. The sit. is this. In the past it would hesitate on starting from a stop, then pick up as normal. This happened here than there. This is now happening as infrequently, but when it does it happens all the time. finally, it happened today and then I stopped to run an errand. when I got back, car started, but ran horrible- low rpms and puching the gas did not do anything.

Pulled over, it stalled. I tried to restart a couple of times, did start but then died. Let it sit for about 10 min, came back and it started. Drove off and no hesitation.

I am thinking it is fuel starved, so either pump or filter. I do hear the pump noise when the key is in the run position, but wondering about the intank pump. Also, where are these two, and filter, located?

Look forward to the replies and will look at the FAQ

Sam
