1990 740T driver's power window braaap

Believe there is a part in the FAQ on this. Anyway, I have fixed my 93 with just a half inch piece of wood glued to the bottom of the door, the inner portion. This acts as a stop for the window mechanism when the mechanism bumps on it. What has happened is the stop built into the mechanism is flimsy and is bent or broken off, so make your own. I used contact cement or J-B Weld to hold the part in place.

Take off the inner door panel and lower your window to locate where you want to glue the stick or wood. Try it to make sure it works where you have it placed. Cost: zip

Good luck,

dick
