Uh... my-- erm, my... lights switch-- it keeps--- ah, exploding. 120-130

Are you sure you've got the wires straight? YOu may be causing a short in the switch, spen some time with a continuity tester and work out with connection connects to what at each switch position, from this it's easy to work out which wire goes where. p.s. I've had a few of these switches, the only problem I've had is the dash board control wasn't delicate enough ( all on or all off).
