OK...so, you say that if I have the bronze bush in place of the needle bearings...either the old bush or new needles will work?

I think the lay bearings are probably OK...the gearbox was quiet and shifted well to start. Only reason for the project was the broken reverse gear. Best I figure, I don't even need to pull the layshaft or gears out. Just the main shaft and reverse gears... But, I just figured I'd replace all I could while I was in there... This tranny will be bolted to the back of that mystery hot-rod B20, you see....
