Reasons for (NOT) disabling your daytime running lights (not allowed in Canada!)

When i lived in Washington State, I didn't think DRL were a big deal.

Now that I live in NJ (where people pass on a 2 lane road with close oncoming traffic all the time), I feel a bit safer being more visible.

My insurance company also gives me enough DRL discount to probably pay for the extra bulbs used up.

I am disappointed that Volvo decided to run ALL exterior lighting at full intensity with their DRL system. Simply running the headlights at 50% would be more than sufficient.
