OverDrive installation this weekend... Do I need to do stuff?

At least open up the top cover and look inside. This may give you an idea of whether to continue or rebuild.

There is one thing to do to the OD. Remove the OD and replace the actuating piston O-rings. About a twenty minute job when the unit is out of the vehicle, four to six hours when in the vehicle. These two O-rings are the most 2nd most common cause of a non-operating OD. Electrical problems like a bad 4th gear switch are first.

Any other O-rings for the OD can be done with the unit in the auto.

Sorry that this reply is on a Monday. Hopefully you mean next weekend.

Have fun.

Duane
