960 rear seal replacement - anything I should know before doing this?

A local garage is going to replace the rear main seal in our 94 965 for 100us and I supply the parts and supervision. The mech said we would just slide the trans back after unbolting everything. I plan on having him disconnect the batt ground before this as we will have to disconnect plugs. The pnp was replaced about 30k miles ago so I'm not concearned with replacing it.

Does this block have a seal housing like the 4 bangers and does it need to come off?

Is the seal inserted to a measured distance or is there a seat. I checked the faq, but nothing on this procedure.

Thanks.
