Making a turbo engine last as long as a NA?

You didn't state anything about removing the oil cooler thermostat. But adding a larger oil cooler makes no sense since the engine is already equiped with an adequately (in my opinion) sized oil cooler. Adding a larger oil cooler makes as much sense as installing a larger radiator when there is no overheating issue with an engine.

If you are trying to increase the oil capacity of the engine by adding a larger oil cooler, I don't see the point. Usually it is quite difficult to drain the oil cooler and lines at an oil change, and that oil is not changed at oil changes.
