Turbo Headgasket II 200

Recall 84 245Ti with headgasket troubles a long way from home; so I am doing voyage repairs.

Car is back together, runs fine except for a pesky oil return line leak at top of the tube where two bolts affix it to Turbo. Any one against using permatex up there? Am going to have to disassamble it and try again. Other things went OK including new timing belt with advice from what I remember from the brickboard (sans manual). A Great knowledge resource!

Am without my Bentley manual since I am on the road 500 miles away from home... is the head retorqued after initial warm up while still warm or when it is cold? Specs that came w/gasket kit say 110 Nm for head bolts (about 80 ftlbs). Sound right?

I will recap when done.

Thanks

Robert
