244 ills........help 200

my beloved has started to act up and i need advice/help. took her to my local volvo shop and they determined the problem to be in the AMM and ECU. the parts and install through them is NOT cheap. since learning this, i have bought myself a truck and no longer need the 244. i want to go to the local bone yard and pull these parts and install myself and maybe make a few more $$ than if it were not running well. do i have to hav specific part numbers for these parts to work or can i get from my model year range and be ok??

here's the problem: VERY difficult to get to run. once will run, VERY rough. bucks, misfires, etc. when taking off from stop. when i remove the engine side of the idle air motor, it runs as smooth as silk even though it continues to increase its idle speed. my thought is it's just the AMM and not the ECU. any thoughts on that???

very sad to need to sell but i have one too many in the dirveway and the wife wants the room. son cried when he found out it will be sold. this is the only car he's known since he was born and he's now 4.

thanks for the help,

Bubba
