my clock broke! 200

The clock on my 93 240dl quit working the other night. The fuses all lokked ok. I wanted to pull the clock out to check it out, but do I have to pull the steering wheel to get to the instrument panel? The car has an airbag, so that makes me kind of nervous. I was also thinking that if I have to replace it, I might go ahead and put in the tach and clock like the gls have. Can I do that easily? Thanks!
