Warn start idling probs 700 1990

B200F will not idle from starting when warm/hot.
No vacuum leaks found.
Disconnecting air mass meter DOES NOT kill engine.
Disconnecting air mass meter ENABLES warm/hot start.
Idling low at 600-800rpm.
Idling valve underneath inlet manifold working fine.
No faults reported on diagnostic.
When testing fuel system on diagnostic unit (socket 2), injectors click, then idle valve operates, then nothing, even though the light flashes. Anyone know what the third test item is? This is a UK model.

Bit of a difficult one, and I am still baffled.
Can anyone offer any suggestions?
Answers on a postcard please ....!

Colin
