760GLE Nivomat Rear Suspension 700 1988

I'm looking for some info on the NIVOMAT REAR SUSPENSION.
This seem to be a mysterious area on the car with no listing at all in the HAYNES Repair Manual.
Can workshop drawings and repair info be obtained someplace?
Is anyone out there familiar with this arrangement?
I hear a growling noise when turning right and would like to know
what the possible causes and/or fixes may be.
Do you need special tools for general repairs ie: replacing CV joints
or shocks. I prefer to do my own repairs if possible.
Is this suppose to be a superior design?
Do you have any pros and cons for this design?
Are there any upgrades or conversions recommended?

All responses will be thankfully appreciated.

Thanks for your help,
Peter Carbone
