Clutch chatter problem 200

If they showed you the old one, then you probably have a new one. The only thought that comes to mind is that they installed it so deep iun the crank that the input shaft doesn't engage it -- and I don't know if that's even possible.

This was just a shot in the dark -- one of those little unrecognized problems that many mechanics don't know about. (I know about it 'cuz I fought it on a different type of car years ago.)

Don't make a big deal about it with them.

For the chatter problem, I'd lean more toward a contaminated clutch disc or a glazed flywheel.

Regarding the stiff clutch pedal -- do you know if your clutch fork is new?
