speed sensor wiring 700 1987

According to my diagram, the brown wire that goes to Pin #2 of the 3pin connector is a ground wire. And I believe it grounds the 12v coming from the ignition.

The brown wire at # 6 of the 12pin connector grounds the speedo sensor/fuel guage. Thats what it looks like to me.

I would think that if you're using the original speedo You do:
Blue/red to 3/3(from sensor)
brown---to 3/2(ground)
Gr/wh---to 3/1

Then take the brown wire from the converter to # 6 of the 12pin connector. I believe # 6 is just a ground. splice it in there somehow.

Hope this helps

Lawrence
