Ignition switch question??? 200 1980

Dave,
I checked positive side while cranking, solid voltage, checked the negative side, pulses on and off. Still no spark from the coil, accept as I let go of the key, while cranking. With ignition off have 9000 ohms from tower to each terminal of the coil. across the two screw terminals 2.1 ohms. The resistor underneath shows 1.9 ohms. Also I can read the voltage drop across the resistor, 14.6 on the blue side, 11.5 on the brown side. I am at a complete loss. According to the Chilton's it should be running, its not. Still no center wire spark during cranking, only one short burst as its let go, and not everytime. I also checked the ohms of the coil wire and tried more than one.
Its not the ignition switch either, you were right, tried a known good one, same condition.
Please help if you can...
Thanks...
