Frustrated with electrical 200

I've gone through everything in this car that I can think of. I have an '84 240 wagon that runs great, when it was running. About two weeks ago, we noticed that the guages would slowly drop, a full tank of gas would slowly become empty by the guage, as well as the temp guage. Then the car would stall.

A quick charge and jump would help get it going again but not for long. I read the posts about bad wire harnesses, so I replace mine and though I've gotten the car to start three time, all are intermitten. The bat, alt, wires and fuses, and nuetral safety switch have tested good. When I turn the key, nothing happens. I've put a volt meter to the batt to see if there is a drop when I turn the ignition, but nothing.

I am at a complete loss here, and have read through a few months worth of posts. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
