A variety of problems with the old girl 900 1991

1)I damaged the headliner board around my dome light which is now dangling down. So the clips that the light press into can't be supported by the sagging headliner. Thought I may spray in some of that aerosol foam which will adhere and support the headliner back to the roof. Then trim off the excess enough for the clips to fit nice and snug again. ANy ideas here???

2) About 200K on my '91 940se and my air compressor may be failing. Terrible noises when I turn it on. I want to go the cheap route if possible. Is repair/rebuild workable. How?

3) Have had a humming/whirring sound -fairly faint noticable only at idle. One mechanic says fuel pump problems and another says the valves are off. Huh? These are at different areas of the car aren't they? Time for a stethoscope?HELP
