Not sure what the point of your post is???? All you need is an outside diameter slightly smaller than the size of the seal. There are only 2 sizes involved, one for the crank and a smaller one for the other 2.

Different plastic pipe makers produce pipes and fitting whose outside diameters may be different from each other. Yes the "busness" part of the fitting will be standard but other dimensions would vary. For example a female fitting from 2 different sources could have different OD dimensions. Finding the correct piece is simply a trip to Home Depot with seal in hand.

BTW do not whack the seal, just gentle taps till it is flush with the surface. Try to keep it straight.
