I changed the oil 3 months ago but only put about 1000 or so miles on the car since then. I'm using the Mann filter with Castrol GTX 10W/30. I was thinking it could probably use fresh oil but maybe changing the (high quality) filter is a waste. Also, do you use one less quart when you leave the filter on? Thanks.
