yes, there is a hp switch. 700 1986

When you say to fill until the low side is 30psi with the compressor running, is this at idle or at 2000rpm? Also, what should the outside temperature be?

Either I have a leak or there is a boat load of freon in there. I suspect the fitting for the orifice valve because there is a wet-looking grime on the connection. There should be leak detector dye in the system. I think that it is activted by UV light? I actually have a hand-held UV light at work that I could borrow. Perphaps I could try it.

When I fill the low side, some yellow-green foam comes out when I disconnect the fitting. The foam then mostly goes away, but not completely. Is this the freon or oil and is it normal?
