For the conversion, you need the front half of the driveshaft at a minimum. Volvo has stated that the driveshaft assembly is a matched, balanced, unit. I would get both pieces.

Don't forget about changing the pedal assembly, and installing the clutch master cylinder.

Yes, the crossmember is the same. It just mounts to the chassis in a different place.

Since your car is a 1987, you will need to change the relay base, or re-wire it. You will need an M46 OD relay, the the wire harness from the relay base to the transmission.

The neutral/park safety switch connection will need to be jumpered, or you will be wondering why the engine won't crank over.

You will find that you want the fifth gear/OD light.
