Serious help with starting engine needed 700

Car is a 1988 UK spec 740 TIC with B230ET and M46, 292k miles. I have done a large service on my engine and now it will not start up properly. Here is what I have done:

Replaced inlet and exhaust manifold gaskets, distributor cap, rotor, leads, plugs, oil, coolant, all hoses, filter, turbo oil pipes, radiator, in tank pump, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator and water pump. I also had the injectors cleaned professionally.

I have not managed to connect the turbo properly as I have mislead a few hoses so I have all hoses in place on the inlet side and the hose from the airbox to the turbo but nothing from turbo to intercooler. Will this work or will the AMM and the ECU go funny?

What happens is that the engine does crank and for a long while it almost starts but does not fire up, then I got it to run but only for a few seconds and it does misfire badly, then dies. Any ideas or should this run when I connect the turbo properly?
