164 pee pees gas 140-160 1973

henry is a 1973 164e. ok, i haven't been giving henry the affection i should be. he's been sitting in my brother's yard with a worn to all hell clutch and some brake issues. i finally ebay'ed up the parts to fix the clutch and called my bro to come over and fix it. he told me he had some bad news. he tried to move henry to mow the grass under him. apparently the fuel line broke and leaked gas in his yard. he said that the only spot is under the back seat behind the driver seat. i went over to examine it, but it was dark when i got there, and we gave up on the 164 for the evening and got to grilling some monster burgers. my question is this, has anyone else experienced this? i assume this is just an issue with some dry rotted hose somewhere in the undercarriage. is this assumption corect? any info would be greatly appreciated...

sorry for the life story
