Hi, I recently decided to become economical so I sold my new truck and bought an 87 brick. It needs some renovation so I purchased an 84 turbo wagon to scavenge parts. Does anyone have any idea how to get the rear seat out of a 240 sedan? The Wagon has some really nice leather seats, and even though they are not an exact fit, I am going to try to mount them in my sedan because the leather beats the cloth anyday for appearance on an older car. My problem is I can't seem to find a way to get the darn rear seat off so I am hoping to get advice before I go destroying my car. Anyone know where I start to remove it?
On a side note, are there any good places to pick up repro carpets or leatherette seat covers at a reasonable price (in case I foul up mounting the rear seat)?
Also, the 240 wagon I bought is a turbo but the engine has some sort of major oil leak coming from somewhere. I am no mechanic but i was told that some of the parts under the hood might be rare. It is an original volvo turbo intercooler with a front mounted intercooler. If you are in the houston area and want to scavenge a little, we might work out a trade or something as I will not mess with converting my DL to turbo.
I am still looking for black door panels, black ebrake cover, black seatbelt covers for the rear, and maybe a new hood.
