Changing just one engine mount 700 1989

Hi all,

Update to an earlier post which I posted bout my shifter vibrating. Well I sent my car to the mechanic and had it raised. Tranny mounts ok. Hydraulic mounts right side (near oil filter) was told to be a bit collapsed. Left side still Ok. Not surprised as the right side is exposed to more heat and also from oil from changing the oil filter.

Question - can I just replace one bad hydraulic engine mount? Or is it advisable to do it in pairs? The mechanic advised for me to wait till both engine mounts are shot including the tranny mount. Says it's better to do all 3 at the same time. (Not sure if he's saying that to make my life or his work easier)

Expert advice needed. Thanks
