'89 740 Barke Line problem--Help 700

It can be difficult to get the nuts started even if the threads are correct and in perfect condition. It is especially difficult if the lines are not in good alignmnent with the master. Try tweaking the lines to get them into alignment, try jiggling as you turn the nut. Very judicious use of a wrench may be needed to get them started. Perhaps loosening of the master mounting nuts to allow it to move around a bit may help. Can't advise re thread specs but I would be surprised if they are not a match.
