Caliper dust boot 700 1989

Aslan,(are you related to THE Aslan, numero ono EPF)Just been to Malaysia, and could not believe the cheap mecahnics' rate there. If I live there,I would not be diy-ing myself.e.g.Headliner for a Mercedes Benz, parts and labour,30US$,40 Canadian$!!!!!!I bought a set of HRD alloys there for my MB,333 C$.Wow.Next time,I will buy the old set of oem Volvo wheels I saw,for 150C$.100US$.Much cheaper than ebay.

Anyway,I found that that you have to use a plastic cap ( I use one off a urine specimen bottle) and a c-clamp to press the inside lip in(the outer lip of the dust boot facing the disc sits in a groove.)

Seems to have worked for the last two months.I had the same problem as you had.Stuck caliper pin on one side, driver's side/

I will probably buy a rebuilt set of calipers shortly .If I had to do it again,I will def buy rebuilt calipers rather than diy
