How to remove obstruction in the AC intake vent 900

The wife said she heard a sucking noise and a pop when she started the 960. Now I hear a flutter coming from under the dash on the passenger side.

I've seen posts here referencing how easy it is for paper to get sucked up the AC intake vent. Question is, how do you remove it? I seem to remember somebody posting that they had to use a hemostat to retrieve the debris. Is disassembly required, or do I need any special tools to reach the obstruction?

Many thanks,
Robert
