Timing belt riding forward - then breaking -aft head gasket replace -HELP

OK ..
A few other points - if you could.

What is the best way to tighten the top cam gear?

Ok the seating of the tensioner - you must be referring to where it mates into the head - right? The part where the roller is - rides free - right? So I look for debris in the head or on the tensioner bracket itself where it mates to the head on the left (facing)?

The greasing of the tensioner - are we talking about taking it apart to do this?

My son in law put the tensioner on - the reason for the questions.

Thanks guys.
Do not know what I would do without the Brickboard.
