accelerator resistance and no accel on WOT related??? 740T 700

87-740T You guys have helped me get my car back on the road now lets get her back to glory. Car idles rough (mainly when cold but also when warm) but I just realized something that I always ignored. The car has a good amount of pep so I didn't normaly need to push accel past ~1/2 way point.
On Highway over 60mph or just generaly punching the accel to floor, is different/difficult, I have noticed that at about 1/2 way I feel considerable resistance on the pedal. When I push fairly hard(relative to force I normaly put on a gas pedal) it goes past that point but instead of accel I get rpm jump by 1500 w/ vacume gauge showing boost go ~1/2 way into yellow but I am Not getting ANY accel, just black smoke out tail. I back off to 1/2 way pt and the car acts normal. I have replacement AMM and O2 going to be here today but thoes couldn't affect resistance to gas pedal, could they?? Thanks for any ideas/help.
