Front Wheel Bearing Installation 200

Having a small problem getting the new front wheel bearings installed on a 92 244 with ABS. The problem is with driving the new inner bearing race (the large one) into the hub. Can't seem to get it in far enough. Inside the hub there is a shoulder about 3/16" or so down from the rim, and I assume that the race is supposed to rest on this shoulder. This is the way the outer (smaller) one drove in with no problem. What do you guys use for tools/techniques for driving this in ? I've done this job on other cars, several times before, and never encountered this problem. It always drove in tight, as it should, but DID go in. This time it seems to lock up, nad is most likely slightly askew. Ideas and suggestions welcomed and warmly appreciated.

Mike
