wet floors 700 1989

Whenever it rains the driver's side floors in my 89 740GL get soaked while the passenger side stays bone dry. I took it to the dealership and the only thing they can think is that it is from a leak in my sunroof. They're going to charge $220 parts and labor. They don't seem quite certain that this is the proper fix. Does anyone have any ideas? Does a sunroof leak sound like the culprit?
