pilot bearing removal? 200 1984

I recently picked up an '84 245 from Florida with low miles for the paltry sum of $500. The only catch was it needs a new clutch. No problem I figured. Anyway, I'd love to put all back together except i can't get the old pilot bearing out! I went to my local auto zone and borrowed thier puller but its to big. Anyone have any ideas besides investing big bucks in a real Volvo pilot bearing puller? Any help would be really appreciated, my wife wants her new brick!
