960 Coolant Fan Failure/purchase advice 900

Hi everybody,
Looking to buy a 960, and just got the service records from the dealer who serviced the car the last few years. One of the notes says "Client states coolant fan overheated amd stopped working" and the response was "Diagnose and replace engine coolant fan".
Since that was done, the car has not been driven but a few hundred miles.
My question is this: is this " the engine overheated, will lead to eventual other serious problems, so thus walk away from deal scenario" that I've read about here, and in the 7/9 FAQ ?
Or, is this a more minor event not to worry about?
Please advise.
