UPDATE (cold idle.. help needed !!) 200 1989

QUOTE: "Anyways.. the TPS on the LH 2.4/3.1 cars is a potentiometer(sp?), not just a switch."...

From my findings.. I disagree. I took the whole thing apart. There is no variable on my 89 240 TPS. It only has the microsw and the points (WOT) nothing in between, no internal wiper etc... My turbo Ford (also Bosch equiped) has a poteniometer though so I know what I am dealing with.
I did verify that all the internals are working even though it was a mess inside the TPS. I probed the terminals and moved the hsg. It clearly showed operational. I should try a spare but I don't have one.
The air meter ah, the air meter.. it worries me.
Sorry for all the blabbing over this darn 240 Brick.
What a mess I have ventured into! This site has given me many answers tho.
Thank you.
