Keyless entry wiring question 700 1987

Dave,
I did this a while ago and fitted the receiver close to the steering column above the drivers knee pad.
The power was taken from the supply side of the brake light switch and the ground attached to a convenient bolt.

The new lock motor is wired in parallel with the rear door motor.

Also, if you use the wires that go to the existing key switch to drive the new lock motor you don`t have to fight 2 new wires through the flexible conduit between the door and body.
