CD options on 1990 760 Wagon 700 1990

I had the same dilemma with my 89 wagon. I was looking for a indash CD that would use the Volvo amplifiers under the steering wheel. I liked the idea of having amplified power. The folks at Crutchfield pointed out that the Sony CD I had my eye on had far more power per channel than the Volvo amps supplied so the latter went into the junk pile with the rest of the radio. Moral: check the specifications of the new unit against the old stock unit. By the way although they are not the cheapest source Crutchfield did supply wiring harnesses that plugged right into the Volvo harnesses.
