Chromed Fresh Air Grill 120-130

We all know that the fresh air grill for the Amazon is made of polished aluminum, but I recently found one that was originally chromed and much heavier than the aluminum one. It was heavily rusted, but after rechroming it looks super.

I am told that some of the early Amazons came with the chromed fresh air grill. Can any of you confirm what model years had this chromed fresh air grill?
