repair panel installation questions 1800

I'm considering purchasing a '71 1800E, and as expected it has some rust issues. I've not seen the car except in photos, but is supposed to have solid floors and jack pads/outriggers. This will be my first 1800.

Rust is in the rockers, lower front and rear fender areas, and has already been cut out, so when I do see the car, I'll know better how severe the situation is.

I've restored Studebakers, and like the 1800's they seem to have come with factory installed rust! So I have learned how to weld sheet metal.Unlike a Volvo, almost all Stude sheet metal is non-structural, so I'm not sure which areas to look at to verify the integrity of the 1800 body. Also, how difficult it is to maintain proper alignment of the body if repairs are needed in these areas?

Thanks!
Ron
