Ignition Coil - Emissions - Chipped Near Ignitiion Wire Output 200 1990

I the process of replacing my distributor rotor, cap, spark plugs and ignitiion wires I found a "chip" in the ceramic/bakelite nipple where the main
wire to the distributor goes. Its not extensive but ? Could this be an
issue in good ignition ? My current NOx emmissions problem ? I have
a spare coil, so I'm wondering if I should just go ahead and replace.
All advice appreciated. Joe Walsh 1990 240 Wagon / 1982 240 coupe
