toasted GT gauges 200

I think I just toasted my gauges trying to put them in. I removed the two center wires like I was told and had a fuel gauge. I was tring to find the right combanation to get them going and spark, smoke and one pissed of mechanic. The lower part of the green board snapped like a fuse and now they are dead. Am I SOL or is there hope for these gauges? Bill
