Could the problem be my Clutch Release Fork? 700

Awhile ago I posted about my slave cylinder problems and how the piston popped out and leaked the dot3 out of my hydraulic clutch. Well, I put a new seal in this sucker and reinstalled and bled everything but still no clutch. My release fork is backed up all the way to the rear of the trans housing and is pinching the rubber boot. That means the piston in my slave less than an eigth of an inch from exposing the seal again. My question is this: Is it normal for the release fork to travel so far back. And, how can I get it forward again?
Is it trans shop time? Thanks in advance.
