piston slap 900 1991

afternoon all,

equipment: B230FT with the turbo rebuilt fall 2003.

symptoms: engine just started to sound like a cross between an old-school bug and an older carbureted chevy 350. there also appears to be a bit of knocking that can be made out just faintly behind the sound previously referred to.

question: i've seen some posts refer to piston slap. what exactly should that sound like? b-ber's have said it's normal, but is there any way the sound can be resolved?

much thanks in advance...

galen
