740 manual sunroof crank replacement 700

While tightening the screw on my 18 year-old manual sunroof hand crank I broke the screw off in the crank mechanism. Don't see much about replacing the manual mechanism in the FAQs, although there is still a lot of info on the electric one and the sunroof itself. Taking the broken screw out is impossible. I've already tried drilling it out, and the bit ended up tearing the threads out of the old one anyway. I'd rather just replace it. Any advice?
