Bushings are available for the rockers; machine shop hones them to fit the shaft.

They should radius the rocker tips to remove any wear -- the rockers slide across the valve stems, so you want the slickest interface you can get there to reduce side loads in the guides.

The rocker shaft obviously needs to be straight and have a nice polished surface for the bushings to ride on.
